At the beginning of February, I spent several days in St. Petersburg at the 12th Winter Festival of the “Psychological Newspaper” “We Share the Same Air… The Art of Contact in Psychology and Life.” Three days of lectures, workshops, and conversations about what in our profession can be described by one simple word — contact. Sometimes events like these matter not so much because of the new knowledge they bring, but because of the feeling of being part of a professional community. When people come together who think about others, work with them, and debate how to do that work better.
From time to time, it is useful to step outside the consulting room and breathe in the air of the profession.
